EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of psychotherapy that promotes healing and processing of distressing experiences.

When we experience painful or uncomfortable experiences they may not get processed properly and become “stuck.” These stuck memories can present as anxiety, negative beliefs about ourselves, or emotional reactions to triggering situations. EMDR aims to assist the brain in what it naturally wants to do: heal and process.

In EMDR sessions we will work on reprocessing these stuck memories and reduce the distress you experience around them. We will move at a pace that feels safe to you and build tools to help you along the way.

EMDR can also be used to treat anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief and loss, and more. Please reach out to learn more.
